Major Road Closures in Dubai This Weekend for Dubai Run 2025 — Here’s What You Need to Know

Drivers, take note — several key roads across Dubai will be closed this weekend as the city gears up for one of its biggest annual fitness events.

Thousands of participants are expected to take part in Dubai Run, a major highlight of the Dubai Fitness Challenge, with runners streaming past some of the city’s most iconic landmarks. While it promises an incredible morning of energy and community spirit, it also means some significant travel disruptions.

Road Closure Timings

From 8pm on Saturday, November 22 to 10am on Sunday, November 23

  • Sheikh Zayed Road Service Road (towards Abu Dhabi)
From Millennium Plaza Hotel to Four Points Sheraton.
  • Sheikh Zayed Road Service Road (towards DWTC Roundabout)
From Dusit Thani Hotel to Museum of the Future and Dubai World Trade Centre.

On Sunday, November 23 from 3am to 10am

  • Sheikh Zayed Road — both directions
Between Dubai World Trade Centre and Al Safa Park Interchange.
  • Al Sukook Street
  • Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard
From Address Hotel towards Burj Khalifa Junction (inner ring road).

Authorities also advise that adjacent roads near the event route may be affected, so motorists should plan their journeys early to avoid delays.

The RTA has additionally confirmed on X that parking parallel to Sheikh Zayed Road will be closed between 3am and 10am on Sunday during the main event.
